The Ultimate Guide to CBD Tinctures: Uses, Benefits, Dosage

by Joe //

CBD tinctures can be used for many things and contain many health advantages. Here is the ultimate guide to CBD tincture use.

Turn down any street and you’ll notice that CBD products have taken the world by storm. You can get your favorite latte with a shot of CBD, find a hemp-infused lotion, and even give products to your stressed-out pets.

But tincture has to be the most common and loved form of CBD out there. Below we answer all your questions about CBD and give you all the information you need to know about CBD tinctures.

What Is CBD Tincture?

CBD is an abbreviation for cannabidiol. Cannabidiol is one of the many cannabinoids (a.k.a chemical compounds) found in a marijuana plant. What makes CBD so interesting is it embodies the characteristics of traditional marijuana excluding one key factor: THC.

THC, also known as tetrahydrocannabinol, is the psychoactive element of the hemp plant which gives you the sensation of being “high”. Without that component, you still receive all the other benefits of a hemp plant by taking CBD. Pretty cool, right?

Now on to tinctures. What is a CBD tincture? Essentially, tinctures are a highly concentrated liquid form of CBD. Cannabidiol tinctures are made by steeping raw hemp flowers that are CBD-rich into grain alcohol. This production makes them highly potent and concentrated.

How Do I Use CBD Tincture?

Now that you know what cannabidiol tincture is, how do you use it? Taking CBD tincture is actually a very easy and effective way to take CBD. Unlike edible forms of CBD (gummies, chocolates, etc), tincture doesn’t have to pass through your digestive tract. This means it won’t take near as long for you to begin feeling the effects of the drops.

To use, administer a couple of drops (this is based on dosage, which we will get to in a minute) underneath your tongue and wait about 30 seconds. After you’ve let it sit under your tongue for 30 seconds, you can go ahead and swallow like normal.

Voilà!

You’ve just taken your first dose of CBD tincture. For some people, you may begin feeling the effects of the tincture within 15 minutes. For others, it could take up to one hour.

How Much CBD Tincture Should I Take?

The answer to this question varies since everyone reacts to new things differently. If you’re interested in trying CBD tincture for the first time, it’s always the safest and best bet to consult with your doctor about any questions or concerns you may have before testing out cannabidiol products.

What Kind Of CBD Tincture Should I Try?

Like any other product, there are a lot of choices on the market. With so many options to choose from, it’s hard to pick one to start out with. A great one to consider is the Cannahyve CBD tinctures because they are made right here in the USA and use only high-quality ingredients.
