There is a new wave of young adults that are rejecting the materialistic stereotypes of red convertibles and polo shirts that are so often associated with wealth and power. To them such items do not equate to success or accomplishment, but rather a prison, something that limits their own freedom. They are looking into the past and reminiscing about the rough and tumble mentality that gave so many early Americans their livelihood; they are seeking ways to conjure up their own hard-edged lifestyle. The motorcycle, with its gritty romanticism, seems to have become their outlet.

In a world with so much technology and comfort, they crave the wind stinging their face and the road jarring their hands. While we won’t be selling the office and riding cross-country any time soon, we can appreciate their quest: the pursuit of their own perception of the ultimate lifestyle.
